Whiteley Law Firm LLC

No one looks forward to needing a criminal defense attorney. Yet there are times when good people find themselves in difficult situations, and the search for a criminal defense lawyer becomes paramount. During your search, you will likely speak to a variety of criminal defense lawyers, each possibly with a different opinion or approach. In the end, your selection of an attorney should be based on whether you believe you can have complete trust and confidence in the criminal defense lawyer to represent your best interests.

Over the years, in order to garner that trust and confidence, I have developed some core principles that I follow in representing my clients and ensuring that their rights are fully protected.

Thorough Case EvaluationI am a firm believer in the rule of law. This means that the police and prosecutor are bound by the same rules as everyone else. Thus, when I review the evidence in your case, I make sure that the police officers involved have not exceeded the limits placed upon them by the Constitution and law. However, it is not enough to simply have a good offense. Because a good defense is equally as important, for every one of my clients, I evaluate their case to ensure that all possible defenses can and will be utilized. There are no shortcuts to ensuring your rights are fully protected.

Client InvolvementI work for you. As such, it is my job to make sure you are fully informed about every aspect of your case so, when the time comes, you can make the decisions that are in your best interest. Whether my advice pertains to something as mundane as selecting your next court date or something more complex such as my legal opinion regarding your rights or the options available to you for disposition of your case, you can rest assured that you will have all the information necessary to make the right choices.

Personal Service For every criminal case I accept and for every criminal defendant I represent, I do all of the work. I don't think it's appropriate for a client to hire me only to discuss their case with a paralegal or have another attorney show up in court. This approach ensures that I am intimately familiar with every aspect of your case and that you get the answers and advice you seek in a quick, efficient, and hassle-free manner.

Criminal charges are serious. Whether your charges are for a minor traffic violation or a serious felony, a criminal conviction can have unintended consequences outside of the fine or imprisonment authorized by law. Consequently, the selection of a criminal defense attorney is one of the most important and difficult decisions you will face. It is not a decision that should be delayed. I strongly urge you to contact me today to discuss your case and allow me to fight the charges against you.

In order to make it as easy as possible for you to learn about your criminal charges, I have established several different methods for contacting me to discuss your case and for a free case evaluation and estimate.

Telephone: You may contact me by telephone during normal business hours to discuss your case. For your convenience, you may use either my local telephone number, (314) 735-0130, or toll-free number, (888) 910-8827.

Voicemail: If I am unavailable, you may leave a private voicemail by selecting the option to speak to Kevin Whiteley. As my office maintains a modern telephone system, I will be alerted to your voicemail within minutes.

Online Submission: If you are busy or unable to use the telephone during normal business hours, you can complete my free online case evaluation form. I will receive it immediately and respond back to you usually within 24 hours.

Office Visit: I maintain an office centrally located in Clayton, Missouri just blocks from the St. Louis County courthouse and jail, within 15 minutes from the federal courthouse and St. Louis City courthouse and jail, and within easy reach of Jefferson, Franklin, and St. Charles counties. If your loved one or family member is incarcerated, I can make arrangements to meet with them in the jail to discuss their case.
